Embassy operations (immigration and civic services) are suspended from 21 December 2020 until further notice. No new appointments will be scheduled during this period; while confirmed appointments will be rescheduled (the Embassy will contact affected clients). We appreciate your understanding during this period as we seek to safeguard the health of the public and Embassy personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The South African Embassy in The Hague will suspend the following services during lockdown:

- ID & ADULT PASSPORT APPLICATIONS
- BIRTH CERTICATES
- COA
- LEGALISATION
****** Only emergency travel certificates will be considered
VISAS:
The following visas will be issued during the above period:
- BUSINESS VISA
- People travelling to South Africa to set up business or acquiring an existing business in South Africa
- In terms Section 15(1) of the South Africa Immigration Act No.13 of 2002, a person who intends to establish a business or invest in a business is required to obtain a Business Visa.
VISITOR’S VISA
- Non-EU citizens travelling to South Africa strictly for business purposes can apply for a visa to travel to SA
- For persons travelling to South Africa to conduct short-term work (subject to proof of supporting documents)
